However, and I hate to be blunt about this, but:

1) If you seek help or advice with your camera or any photographic product, please post your question to the PhotoNotes discussion forum. 2) If you send me a private request for help or advice using this feedback form you will not get an answer.

Why is this? Am I being mean?

I get loads of emails a week asking for help. Why doesn't my camera work? What lens should I buy? But I am just one person, not a big company. I have chosen to spend many hours providing the information on this site for free. Regrettably I cannot spend additional time working as an unpaid consultant for every individual email. The Internet is a very big place!

Besides, if I reply to a private email it will benefit one person only. If I reply to a public forum question then dozens of other people will also benefit.

And I do make mistakes. A public forum is open to everybody who can correct any errors and offer additional perspectives.
