Paparazzi.

(singular: paparazzo) Celebrity-stalking photographers who take surreptitious photographs of well known people, preferably in embarrassing, private or compromising situations, to sell to tabloid newspapers and celebrity magazines. They frequently harass celebrities in public places.

The name comes from Paparazzo, a character in the 1960 Federico Fellini film “La Dolce Vita.” He was modelled after Italian celebrity photographer Tazio Secchiaroli.
