Horizontal shutter.
A focal plane shutter which moves horizontally. (ie: the long dimension of the rectangle)
Typically found on older cameras, at least since the realization that vertical movement makes more sense on rectangular shutters since the travel distance is shorter and thus the top shutter speed is higher.
