I am looking for a decent tablet or Kindle-ish device for use in the field. Most of my shoots are outdoors, and in some rather remote locations, so lugging around a laptop is not a very viable option at times. However, my clients would love to see some of their pics on a bigger screen than my lcd screen on the back of my camera. I don't wanna hafta mortgage my kids or dogs to pay for one, but I would like good quality with a standard card reader or a usb.
One of my other questions is if I do find a tablet with a usb port, would/could i get an app so i could download pics to it for client veiwing? |

| iPads haven't got card readers, though you can add an SD card reader using an accessory plug-in device. The default apps don't support live previews, though some third party programs have varying levels of support for different cameras. There are Android tablets out there that might work well, but I've never researched them. |

| Try looking at a netbook computer, one of the miniature laptops. Their screens are about the same size as the average tablet, they have USB ports and they usually have an SD card reader as well. Added to that a much larger storage capacity, the ability to multitask and a physical keyboard, you've got a pretty good thing. |
