| I currently have a Caon EOS Rebel K2 film camera. Along with it I have a Zoom lens EF 75-300mm, Zoom lens EF 28-90 mm, and a EF 20-35mm lens. I am looking at digital cameras and would like to know what would be the best comparable digital that would use the lenses that I have. Also what is a good lens to have to bring things in real close? I take a lot of pictures but am not very knowledgeable about photography in general. I could really use some help here. Thank you. |

Have you had a look at my Beginner FAQ? It answers many of your questions.

Any EOS Rebel digital camera is going to be the closest thing to what you've got now. Though actually a digital EOS Rebel is going to be much more powerful and flexible than the K2 was.
However, all the Rebels have "cropped" image sensors which means they don't record quite as much of a scene relative to a full frame of 35mm film.
As for closeup photography, you either shell out the money for a true "macro" lens or else you buy a macro lens adapter of some type. |

| What would be a good macro lens to get? Like I said, I am pretty new to this. Thank you. |
