|
|
Hi All,
I'm just starting out with wedding photography and was just looking for some advice with reagrds to remote TTL flash kits.
I have a Canon EOS 450D and 2 Sigma EF-500 DG Super ETTL II flash guns.
I've used some cheaper radio triggers to get the flash guns to fire off camera which worked fine but I was guessing at exposures as there was no TTL support. This would obviously be no good for wedding shoots.
Can anyone recommend some wireless trigger kits that would work with the camera and the flashes I have, with TTL support so I'm not blowing out the bride!
Thanks for any advice.
Darren

Well, lots of folks use manual flash metering. Works well, though it does take a lot of practising. Also, it is more difficult to use in fast-moving situations like weddings.
A wireless system based on optical signalling, like a master-capable E-TTL flash unit works reasonably well indoors, though you are limited in terms of distances. Really works best with line of sight.
The PocketWizard ControlTL system is what you want for wireless radio-based triggering, though I don't think they support the Sigma units. They're kind of expensive, though. |

You ask a question as a newcommer to wedding photography and appear to have placed a website here for free advertising as a PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER.
Has anyone else visited your website before answering.
I accept that you are possibly "new" to weddings, but it would also have been prudent to have left off the website. |
