Rarely does flash bother horses (always ask) but fill flash with a GOOD gun should freeze the action

To be honest I haven't seen pros using flash on shows yet, but I think it was because it was outside and suny days. Yeah you are right you don't want scare horse just in front of the fence as rider wouldn't thank you if he or she would fly over horse and land on the gras because horse sudenly stopped Very Happy

Also I'm not allowed inside the rink only pros can go in sa I have to be outside and try shoot from there like anybody else Sad and from tha distance I don't think using flash would have good affect

I'll give it go. I bought bigger and faster SD card (SanDisk Extreme clas 10 30MB/s) so I will soot both JPEG and RAW so I can compare. Do you think are Elements 7 and Lightroom good programs for edditing pics?

Elements is good. Not as powerful as Photoishop but it will do most of what the average photographer will want to do. Never used lightroom, but it's a very popular program, so I figure it must be popular for a reason. :p

Photoshop is ok, used it for work but to be honest who needs it at home, I would suggest Corel Paint shop pro X3 to anyone, very powerful and simple to learn, or GIMP, about as good as you need and free.

Yeah. I leave mine on standard. If you are shooting raw, then it makes no difference at all.

Yeah Lightroom is useful in editing pictures by batch.. But I think photoshop is a lot better if you really want a total editing with your photo.. Color correction on photoshop is a lot better too.. Smile
